Veggi Pasta with Alfredo sauce for kids



Ingredients:
Pasta(Multigrain/ White/ Wheat) – 1 cup
Grated Carrot / Chopped baby carrot– ¼ cup and/or
Frozen / Fresh Peas – 2tbs  and/or
Frozen/ Fresh Corn – 2tbs  and/or
Chopped Broccoli – 2tbs  and/or
French Cut Beans  - 2tbs  and/or
Grated Cheese – 2tsp
Alfredo sauce – 4tbs

Method:
   Add Pasta to boiling water and when its half cooked add yours or your kid’s favorite one or two vegetables and cook until Pasta is completely cooked.   Drain excess water and add 4 tbs of Alfredo sauce, mix well until sauce is well coated to Pasta.  Cook for 2 to 3minutes.
Transfer to a plate or lunch box and garnish with Cheese.

Davangere Masale Avalakki



Ingredients:
Thin Poha /Paper Avalakki / Atukulu – 2cups
Chopped Onion – ¼ cup
Chopped Tomato – ¼ cup
Chopped Green Chili – 1tsp(according to taste)
Chopped Coriander – ¼ cup
Roasted Chana powder – 1tsp
Grated Fresh Coconut – 1tsp
Red Chili powder – ½ tsp

Seasoning:
Chopped Onion – ¼ cup
Chopped Tomato – ¼ cup
Water – ¼ cup
Mustard seeds – ½ tsp
Jeera /Cumin – ½ tsp
Oil – 2 tsp
Curry Leaves - 6


Method:
  Prepare seasoning in a pan with Oil, Jeera and mustard seeds, when they start spluttering add onion and green chilies.  After 2 to 3 minutes add tomatoes, water, little salt and let it cook for few minutes,  turn off the flame and let it cool for 5 to 10 min. now add remaining all ingredients except mixture and mix well.  Garnish with Mixture and serve with Mirchi Bajji or any Pakoda / Bajji.

Marinara Sauce – 4tbs

Method:
   Add Pasta to boiling water and when its half cooked add yours or your kid’s favorite one or two vegetables and cook until Pasta is completely cooked.   Drain excess water and add 4 tbs of marinara sauce, mix well until sauce is well  coated to Pasta.  Cook for 2 to 3minutes.
Transfer to a plate or lunch box and garnish with Cheese.

Mickey Mouse Dosa

Ingredient:

Dosa Batter - 1 cup

Method:
  On a Dosa pan spread batter to a small 4 inch circle,  on top spread two more circles attached to large Dosa, which should look similar to the picture.


Toast both side and serve with your Kid's favorite Chutney or Ketch up.

Egg roll

Ingredients:
Chapathi/ Uncooked Tortilla /Frozen Chapathi
Egg - 2
Chopped Cucumber - 2tbs
Chopped Onion -2tbs
Chopped Green Chilies - 1tsp
Pepper powder - 1 pinch
Red Chili Powder -1 pinch
Chopped Coriander - 1tsp
Chat Masala - 1/4 tsp
Tomato Ketchup - 2tsp
Salt
Oil - 2tsp

Method:
Whisk the egg along with salt,black pepper powder,red chilli powder and keep it aside.  Heat a griddle and meanwhile take the onion, green chilly, Cucumber, coriander leaves and a pinch of salt,mix it well.  Toast
Chapathi/ Uncooked Tortilla /Frozen Chapathi on one side and keep it aside.
Now coat the pan with a few drops of oil and pour the egg mixture and drizzle a tsp of oil, immediately place the  Chapathi/ Uncooked Tortilla /Frozen Chapathi on top of the egg 
and  Flip it to the other side and cook it for a minute.Remove it from the griddle and keep it on a plate. 
Place some onion mixture  and drizzle the ketchup,  squeeze a dash of lemon and roll it. 
Wrap it with the parchment paper or aluminum foil in one end.

Serve it immediately.

Spring Dosa



Ingredients:
Grated carrot – 1 cup
Grated / Finely chopped Cabbage – 1cup
Finely chopped Capsicum / Bell Pepper – ½ cup
Red Chili Powder – ½ tsp
Daniya Jeera Powder – ½ tsp
Salt according to taste
Dosa Batter – 2cup

Seasoning:
Mustard seeds – ½ tsp
Jeera /Cumin – ½ tsp
Oil – 2 tsp
Curry Leaves - 6

Method:
  Prepare seasoning with seasoning ingredients,  when mustard seeds starts spluttering add carrot, cabbage, capsicum, salt, chili powder and daniya jeera powder and cook until all the vegetables get tender,  if cooked vegetables leaves some water then keep frying until all the excess water evaporates. 

Now heat up a Dosa pan and spread the batter on Dosa Pan, when dosa is cooked on both side spread curry on dosa
and roll it.  
Serve hot with ketchup / Chutney.

Sorekai /Sorakaya Sambar

Ingredients:
Toor Dal - 1/2cup
Chopped Sorekai - 1cup
Chopped Onion - 2tbs
Chopped tomato - 1tbs
Sambar Powder - 1tsp
Red Chili Powder - 1/2tsp
Turmaric Powder - 1/4tsp
Tamarind Paste - 1tsp
Coconut - 2tsp
water - 3 cup
Chopped coriander - 1tsp

Seasoning:
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Jerra - 1tsp
Red chillies - 2
curry leaves - 6
Asafoetida - 1/4 pinch
Oil - 1tsp

Method:Wash and pressure cook toor dal.
Prepare seasoning with mustard seeds, jeera, red chilies, curry leaves, Asifotida and add onion, when onion gets soft add Sorekai, salt, sambar powder, Red Chili Powder, Turmaric Powder, water and cook until Sorekai gets soft now add Tomato, tamarind paste and cooked dal. Add water if required.
Garnish with Chopped coriander and coconut.

Serve hot with Rice / Chapathi.

Davangere Masale Mandakki


Ingredients:
Puffed Rice – 4cups
Chopped Onion – ¼ cup
Chopped Tomato – ¼ cup
Chopped Green Chili – 1tsp(according to taste)
Chopped Coriander – ¼ cup
Roasted Chana powder – 1tsp
Grated Fresh Coconut – 1tsp
Red Chili powder – ½ tsp
Mixture / thin shev

Seasoning:
Chopped Onion – ¼ cup
Chopped Tomato – ¼ cup
Water – ¼ cup
Mustard seeds – ½ tsp
Jeera /Cumin – ½ tsp
Oil – 2 tsp
Curry Leaves - 6


Method:
